Itinerary
Day 1, June 7, 2024 - Friday - DWe’ll depart Baldwin Street Middle School at 5:00 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We will stop at the Cleveland Zoo to eat our sack lunch and stretch our legs before heading to our hotel in Albany, New York.
Day 2, June 8, 2024 - Saturday - CB, L, & DToday, we spend time seeing some great sights of Boston. We start with lunch at Faneuil Hall before we board the “Duck”, a W.W.II-style, amphibious landing vehicle, and we cruise by all the places that make Boston the Birthplace of Freedom. Next, we will learn of the famous event that forever changed the course of American history at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum. Our dinner will be at the Fire & Ice Grill, where you choose your own ingredients and then watch their Grill Chefs create your meal on the world’s largest grill. We then head south towards New York City, staying in Milford, CT for the night.
Day 3, June 9, 2024 - Sunday - CB, L, & DThis is a day of exploring the “Big Apple”. Our morning will start with a boat ride out to see the Statue of Liberty up close. We then grab a box lunch and take a double decker bus ride down to the 9/11 Reflecting Pools. We will visit the 9/11 Memorial Museum, where we will learn of the events, the aftermath and continuing implications of September 11, 2001. Next is a visit to Times Square, with dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, before heading for Washington D.C..
Day 4, June 10, 2024 - Monday - CB, L, & DWe’ll spend all day exploring Washington D.C., we will have plenty of time to explore the Smithsonian Museums. After dinner at Uno Pizzeria we will take a guided tour of the memorials in our nation’s capitol.
Day 5, June 11, 2024 - Tuesday - CB, L, & DThe morning will start by touring Mount Vernon, home of George Washington, before heading for Gettysburg. Once there, we will have lunch, visit the Shriver House and the Visitor’s Center, with some shopping time. Dinner will be at the Farmhouse Restaurant at The Barn Resort, before we check into our hotel for the night.
Day 6, June 12, 2024 - Wednesday - CB, L, & DThe morning will be spent visiting the Cyclorama and enjoying the movie “A New Birth of Freedom”. Finally, we tour Gettysburg National Military Park, before heading to Hershey Park for the afternoon & evening. Afterwards, we will reboardour motorcoach and head for home.
Day 7, June 13, 2024 - ThursdayWe will arrive back in Hudsonville around 8:00 am.
