Itinerary
Day 1 - June 10, 2023 - Saturday - DWe’ll depart Beal City Middle school parking lot at 5:30 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We’ll travel to Niagara Falls, New York and take a ride on the Maid of the Mist to view the spectacular falls. Our first night will be spent in Albany, New York.
Day 2 - June 11, 2023 - Sunday - CB, L, & DAn early start this morning will find us heading east to Boston. We start with a tour of the famous Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. After lunch at Quincy Market Place, we will board the “Duck”, a W.W.II-style, amphibious landing vehicle, and cruise by all places that make Boston the Birthplace of Freedom. We will go back to Quincy Market Place for some dinner and shopping before heading for our hotel for the night.
Day 3 - June 12, 2023 - Monday - CB, L, & DThis is a day of exploring the “Big Apple”. Our morning will start with a 60-second elevator ride to the 100th floor of the One World Observatory for breathtaking views of NYC. After lunch we visit the 9/11 Memorial Museum, where we will learn of the events, the aftermath and continuing implications of September 11, 2001. Finally, we take a heart-stopping thrill ride, on a 70-foot speedboat called The Beast out to see the Statue of Liberty. We end the day in NYC with dinner at Bubba Gumps before venturing on towards Washington D.C..
Day 4 - June 13, 2023 - Tuesday - CB, L, & DWe will depart for Washington D.C. to spend the afternoon exploring the Smithsonian Museums. After some dinner we will take a guided tour of our nation’s memorials before heading to our hotel for the night.
Day 5 - June 14, 2023 - Wednesday - CB, L, & DAfter breakfast at the hotel we will take a tram ride through Arlington Cemetery for the Changing of the Guard Ceremony. We will have time for lunch and shopping at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City Mall before we head for Gettysburg. We will take a guided tour of the Battlefield before dinner, and then head to our hotel for the night.
Day 6 - June 15, 2023 - Thursday - CB, L, & DThis morning we will visit the Gettysburg Military Park Museum and Visitors Center. Then we are off to spend the afternoon and evening at Hershey Park with amusement rides and a water park. Afterwards, we will reboard our motorcoach and head for home.
Day 7 - June 16, 2023 - FridayWe will arrive back in West Michigan around 10:30 am.
