Itinerary

September 4, 2024 (Wednesday) - MBS, L We will depart Grand Rapids this morning, stopping to enjoy breakfast snacks and coffee at the Countryside Tours office as we head north for our day of food, shopping and historical site seeing in the beautiful town of Charlevoix, Michigan.We will arrive in Charlevoix to pick up our local step on guide to see the Earl Young Mushroom Houses and hear their fascinating history.After dropping off our guide, we will head to Castle Farms where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch within the grounds of the castle. Following lunch, we will learn about the history of the castle which begins in 1918, through anillustrated video, guided tram ride (weather permitting), and guided walking tour of the grounds. Castle Farms is handicap accessible and provides chairs and benches throughout to allow opportunities for breaks and rest.Following Castle Farms, we will head to downtown Charlevoix where you will have time to grab dinner and take in some shops before our drive back home.We will be leaving Charlevoix at approximately 6:30pm
