Itinerary
Day 1: Sunday, March 3 (MBS, D)This morning we will head south, stopping for our signature breakfast. Lunch will be on your own along the way. We will have dinner at our hotel in Charleston, West Virginia in the evening.
Day 2: Monday, March 4 (B, D)After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Myrtle Beach. We will check in to our oceanfront hotel rooms and have some time to freshen up before we go to Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen for Dinner.
Day 3: Tuesday, March 5 (B, D)Breakfast is at your leisure at Papa’s Restaurant, across the street from our hotel, this morning between 6:30 am and 9:45 am. We will have a local guide to take us on a tour of the Myrtle Beach area before heading to Barefoot Landing for lunch, activities and shopping on your own. Dinner will be at Joe’s Bar and Grill this evening. We will then go to The Alabama Theater for the show Iconic. Iconic is a new, cutting-edge production unlike anything you have ever seen. Featuring music, comedy and widely recognized country chartbusters, classic rock anthems, Broadway tunes, and pop power ballads.
Day 4: Wednesday, March 6 (B, D)Breakfast is at your leisure at Papa’s Restaurant, across the street from our hotel, this morning between 6:30 am and 9:15 am. We will depart our hotel for a 2 hour eco cruise of Murrells Inlet, a saltwater marsh ecosystem aboard the “Explorer”, a covered 54’ aluminum hull catamaran. Aboard the boat, you will find a live touch tank, as well as concessions and restrooms. Guided by a marine naturalist, you will see amazing marine life, native birds, a live demonstration of crabbing, and a barrier island that you can explore. After our eco cruise, you will have a free afternoon with lunch on your own at Myrtle Beach’s newest attraction Broadway at the Beach. Dinner will be an all you can eat buffet of over 150 items at Giant Crab, including snow crab legs, grilled swordfish, steamed and fried oysters, prime rib and salmon, just to name a few. After dinner, we will enjoy The Carolina Opry, an award winning show blending high energy music, comedy and dance.
Day 5: Thursday, March 7 (B, D)Breakfast is at your leisure at Papa’s Restaurant, across the street from our hotel, this morning between 6:30 am and 8:45 am. After breakfast, we will spend some time at Brookgreen Gardens. From beautiful gardens, tosculpture, and the only accredited zoo on the coast of the Carolinas. After our visit, you will have free time to enjoy shopping or the beach, with lunch on your own. Dinner will be at Carolina Roadhouse, followed by the show Legends in Concert, the World’s Greatest Live Tribute Show!
Day 6: Friday, March 8 (B, D)Breakfast is at your leisure at Papa’s Restaurant, across the street from our hotel, this morning between 6:30 am and 8:00 am. This morning, we will depart Myrtle Beach, stopping along the way in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. Whether real, imagined, or somewhere in between, The Andy Griffith Show's Mayberry, North Carolina, is about as close to that black and white utopia as it gets. Luckily, nostalgia-seekers can visit Mount Airy, North Carolina, Andy's hometown and the real-life inspiration for the show. You will have time to explore Mount Airy, and have lunch on your own. This evening we will stay in Charleston, West Virginia (Same hotel as the first night) and have a delicious dinner at The Olive Tree Restaurant.
Day 7: Saturday, March 9 (B)After breakfast at the hotel, we head back to Grand Rapids. We will make a lunch stop along the way (on your own). We will arrive in Grand Rapids at approximately 6:00 pm (No dinner stop)
