Itinerary
Day 1 - June 8, 2024 - Saturday - D
We’ll depart Greenville Middle School at 5:30 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We’ll travel through Canada and stop to see Niagara Falls. Our first night will be spent in Albany, New York.
Day 2 - June 9, 2024 - Sunday - CB, L, & D
An early start this morning will find us heading east. After some lunch and shopping at Faneuil Hall, we take a walk along the Freedom Trail and learn the history of the American Revolution, as it began in Boston. Our dinner will be at the Fire & Ice Grill, where you choose your own ingredients and then watch their Grill Chefs create your meal on the world’s largest grill. Finally, we board the “Duck”, a W.W.II-style, amphibious landing vehicle, and cruise by all the places that make Boston the Birthplace of Freedom. We then head out of town to our hotel for the night.
Day 3 - June 10, 2024 - Monday - CB, L, & D
Today will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”. We will start with a ferry ride out to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Upon returning to the city we will have some lunch before taking a 60-second elevator ride to the 100th floor of the One World Observatory for breathtaking views of NYC. Then it is onto Times Square for dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company before heading to our hotel for the night.
Day 4 - June 11, 2024 - Tuesday - CB, L, & D
This morning we will depart for Washington D.C., where we start with a tram ride through Arlington Cemetery for the Changing of the Guard Ceremony. The afternoon will be spent exploring the Smithsonian Museums. After dinner at Union Station, we take a guided tour of our nation’s memorials.
Day 5 - June 12, 2024 - Wednesday - CB, L, & D
Our morning will start with a visit to Mount Vernon, George Washington’s beautiful home. After some lunch and shopping time at the Pentagon Mall we make our way to Gettysburg. Once in Gettysburg we will have dinner and take a Ghost Walk through the historic streets of town before heading to our hotel for the night.
Day 6 - June 13, 2024 - Thursday - CB, L, & D
This morning will be spent touring the Gettysburg National Military Park, with a Park Service Guide. We will have some lunch before heading out of town for Hershey, PA. This afternoon and evening, we’ll enjoy the amusement rides at Hershey Park! Afterwards, we will reboard our motorcoach and head for home.
Day 7 - June 14, 2024 - Friday
We will arrive back in West Michigan around 9:00 am.
