Trip Overview

  • A chance to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall

  • A 30-minute, wet-n-wild ride at, 45 mph through the New York Harbor, with an up close view of the Statue of Liberty on a boat called The Beast (weather permitting)

  • Admission to Hershey Park, which offers roller coasters, water rides, and more
  • All taxes and tips included, with the exception of $5 per student for our bus driver’s tip, which will be collected the morning of departure

Itinerary

Day 1 - June 7, 2024 - Friday - DWe’ll depart Riley Street Middle School at 6:30 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We will make a stop and learn of the heroic actions of the passengers and crew at the Flight 93 National Memorial, on our way to Gettysburg. Day 2 - June 8, 2024 - Saturday - CB, L, & DWe will start the morning off at the Shriver House, where we will learn what it was like being a civilian during the Battle of Gettysburg. Then we will tour the Gettysburg National Military Park with a Park Service Guide. After lunch at we will head for Washington D.C.. After we will take a guided tour of the nations memorials before heading to our hotel for the night. Day 3 - June 9, 2024 - Sunday - CB, L, & DToday we will continue our exploration of Washington D.C.. We start with a tram ride through Arlington Cemetery to witness the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider. We will go to the top of the Washington Monument before visiting some Smithsonian Museums. Our dinner will be at Union Station before head to Philadelphia for the night. Day 4 - June 10, 2024 - Monday - B, L, & DAfter breakfast we will visit the Eastern State Penitentiary, where some of America’s most notorious criminals were held. We will see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell before departing for New York City. Our first stop will be a visit to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, where we will learn of the events, the aftermath and continuing implications of September 11, 2001. After dinner, our final stop for the day will be One World Observatory, where we will take a 60-second elevator ride to the 100th floor, for breathtaking views of NYC. Day 5 - June 11, 2024 - Tuesday - CB, L, & DWe start our morning with some shopping time and lunch in Times Square, before we take a heart stopping thrill ride, on a 70-foot speedboat called The Beast out to see the Statue of Liberty. After a visit to Madame Tussauds and dinner at Margaritiville, we will enjoy unique theatrical experience “The Blue Man Group” before heading back to our hotel for the night. Day 6 - June 12, 2024 - Wednesday - CB, L, & DWe will depart our hotel in the morning for Hershey Park. This afternoon and evening, we’ll enjoy the amusement rides at Hershey Park! Afterwards, we will reboard our motorcoach and head for home.Day 7 - June 13, 2024 - Thursday We arrive back to Riley Street Middle School at approximately 9:00 am
