Itinerary
Day 1 - June 9, 2024 - Sunday - DWe’ll depart North Rockford Middle School at 6:00 am this morning for our exciting trip to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We’ll travel through Canada to see the Niagara Falls, and then stop for dinner on our way to our first hotel in Binghamton, New York.
Day 2 - June 10, 2024 - Monday - CB, L, & DToday will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”. After lunch at Brookfield Place, we will visit the One World Observatory. Here, we will take a 60-second elevator ride to the 100th floor, for breathtaking views of NYC. Next we take a boat ride out to see the Statue of Liberty. We then explore NYC on top of a double-decker bus before getting some dinner on our way out of town to Philadelphia for the night.
Day 3 - June 11, 2024 - Tuesday - B, L, & DAfter breakfast, it’s sightseeing at its best, as we ride the double-decker bus through the historic streets of Philadelphia. We will see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, on our way to lunch at the famous Reading Terminal Market. Then, it’s on to Washington D.C.. We will have some dinner then spend the evening having fun at Urban Air before checking into our hotel.
Day 4 - June 12, 2024 - Wednesday - CB, L, & DToday we start with a visit Arlington National Cemetery to witness the Changing of the Guard Ceremony, at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Our afternoon will be spent visiting the Smithsonian Museums. After dinner at Uno Pizzeria we will take a guided tour of our Nation’s Memorials.
Day 5 - June 13, 2024 - Thursday - CB, L, & DThis morning we will travel to Mount Vernon to tour George Washington’s beautiful home before heading off to Gettysburg. Once in Gettysburg we will visit the Visitors Center, have some dinner and then go on one of Gettysburg’s famous Ghost Walks before checking into our hotel.
Day 6 - June 14, 2024 - Friday - CB, L, & DThis morning will be spent touring the Gettysburg National Military Park, with a Park Service Guide, before departing for Hershey Park. This afternoon and evening, we’ll enjoy the amusement rides at Hershey Park! Afterwards, we will reboard our motorcoach and head for home.
Day 7 - June 15, 2024 - SaturdayWe will arrive back in Rockford around 10:00 am.
