Itinerary
Day 1 - June 3, 2024 - Monday - DWe’ll depart Sparta Middle School at 6:30 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! We’ll travel through Canada and stop to see Niagara Falls. Our first night will be spent in Binghamton, New York.
Day 2 - June 4, 2024 - Tuesday - CB, L, & DToday will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”! After lunch, we will stop and visit the One World Observatory. Here, we will take a 60-second elevator ride to the 100th floor for breathtaking views of NYC. We then take a heart-stopping thrill ride on a 70-foot speedboat called The Beast out to view the Statue of Liberty. After a stroll and dinner in Times Square we will get to see the award winning play Back to the Future the Musical. After a long day we spend the the night in New Jersey.
Day 3 - June 5, 2024 - Wednesday - CB, L, & DAfter breakfast, we will head for Philadelphia for a visit to the National Constitution Center, see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. After lunch and a run up the “Rocky Steps”, we head out for Washington D.C.. Once in D.C. we will visit the National Harbor for some free time and dinner before heading to our hotel for the night.
Day 4 - June 6, 2024 - Thursday - CB, L, & DWe start our time in D.C. first with a visit to Arlington Cemetery for the Changing of the Guard Ceremony. After lunch we have the afternoon to spend exploring the Smithsonian Museums. Finally we take a guided tour of nations memorials.
Day 5 - June 7, 2024 - Friday - CB, L, & DWe start the morning with a visit to one of the oldest zoos in the United States, the Smithsonian National Zoo. Then, we will step into the shoes of a spy and visit the International Spy Museum. After lunch, we will visit the Washington Monument*. After dinner we will travel to Gettysburg for the night.
Day 6 - June 8, 2024 - Saturday - CB, L, & DThis morning will be spent touring the Gettysburg National Military Park with a Park Service Guide, and do some last minute souvenir shopping. This afternoon we will travel north to Canton, OH for dinner at Dave & Buster’s and spend the night.
Day 7 - June 9, 2024 - Sunday - CB, LToday will be spent at the roller coaster capital of the world, Cedar Point.** We will have dinner on our way home, and will arrive back in West Michigan around 9:30 pm. *Itinerary may change due to ticket availability **Ticket to Cedar Point does not include the water park
