Itinerary
Day 1 - June 6, 2024 - Thursday - D
We’ll depart Tri County Middle School at 5:45 am this morning for our exciting tour to the East Coast and Washington D.C.! Our first night will be spent in Fairfield, New Jersey.
Day 2 - June 7, 2024 - Friday - CB, L, & D
Today will be spent exploring the “Big Apple”. We start with an experience of a lifetime out to see the Statue of Liberty aboard New York's only passenger tall ship, The Clipper City. After lunch we will take a 60-second elevator ride to the 100th floor of the One World Observatory for breathtaking views of NYC. Finally we will have some time in Times Square and dinner at Margaritaville before heading out of town.
Day 3 - June 8, 2024 - Saturday - B, L, & D
We will start the morning with a breakfast at Hard Rock Cafe in Philadelphia before we visit the National Constitution Center which is filled with interactive displays. We will walk past Independence Hall, and also see the Liberty Bell. After a box lunch, it’s sightseeing at its best, as we ride the double-decker bus through the historic streets of Philadelphia. Then we are off to Washington D.C. for dinner at Uno Pizzeria and a guided tour of our nation’s memorials before heading to our hotel.
Day 4 - June 9, 2024 - Sunday - CB, L, & D
Today, we will start at Mount Vernon to tour George Washington’s beautiful home. Then back to Washington D.C. for a tour of Arlington National Cemetery. We will see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We will have some time for touring a couple of Smithsonian Museums before heading for dinner at Hard Rock Cafe and then to our hotel for the night.
Day 5 - June 10, 2024 - Monday - CB, L, & D
This morning we will test our spy skills at the International Spy Museum before heading off to Gettysburg. Once in Gettysburg, we will have some lunch and then visit Gettysburg National Military Park with a Park Service Guide. After dinner we head to our hotel for some swim time.
Day 6 - June 11, 2024 - Tuesday - CB, L, & D
This morning we will visit the Shriver House, where we will learn what it was like being a civilian during the Battle of Gettysburg. The afternoon and evening, we’ll enjoy the amusement rides at Hershey Park! Afterwards, we will re-board our motorcoach and head for home.
Day 7 - June 12, 2024 - Wednesday
We will arrive back in West Michigan at approximately 9:30 am.
