Itinerary

December 20th, 2023: MBS, D We will depart from Grand Rapids early, stopping for our Signature Breakfast along the way, so we have plenty of time to enjoy shopping and lunch on your own at Chicago’s famed Christkindlmarket. This German-style Christmas Market provides a safe, outdoor experience for everyone. The smell of roasted nuts, fresh pretzels, bratwurst and hot spiced wine, the sound of festive music, and the glimmer of sparkling Christmas ornaments, all in a fun and cozy atmosphere, will greet you when you arrive. Shop vendor products from around the world at this unique market. In the afternoon, we will head to the Cadillac Palace Theater to see Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical. which features the hit songs “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas” from the original animated special. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small”, decides to steal Christmas away from the Holiday loving Whos. On our way home, we will stop in at Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria in Michigan City, Indiana for a private buffet, featuring six types of pizza, mostaccioli, breadsticks, salad, and non-alcoholic drinks.
